Sophia B. Liu is a recent graduate of the Technology, Media and Society PhD program at University of Colorado at Boulder. Her dissertation focused on social media use around historic crises and the emergence of grassroots heritage practices. She is currently a Mendenhall Post-doctoral research fellow at the U.S. Geological Survey investigating crowdsourced geographic information.
